This annual scholarship is administered by the Scholarship Board of the Community Congregational Church (CCC) through the Frank E. and Salome B. Smith Trust Fund established in 1976.

The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students for attendance at any accredited institution of further education, with preference given to those involved in CCC.  Amounts of the award will vary depending on availability of funds and number of applicants. Funds will be released directly to the institution where the student is enrolled. This scholarship is for a maximum of four years/eight semesters.
